One fear authors have when handing their work off to an editor is that the editor will rework their creation to match his or her own style.

I will edit your document, whether it's a corporate brochure, academic paper, memoir, or novel manuscript, while always respecting your style and intent. I want you to read the edited document, recognize it as your own, and not even be able to tell where my edits are.​ 

During my career, I have had the opportunity to edit a variety of documents and am accustomed to working in a high-pressure, deadline environment. I've edited and proofread hundreds of manuscripts (fiction and nonfiction), manuals, brochures, contracts, and many other types of written work.

In addition to my on-the-job experience, I continue to enhance my skills by taking a variety of advanced editing training courses. Most recently, I completed an editing certification course through the University of Central Florida and a Developmental Editing for Fiction course through the Editorial Freelancers Association.

I am located in the Daytona Beach, Florida, area but will accept projects from anywhere in the country. I especially enjoy editing fiction (most genres), in addition to motivational and self-help print. However, I am available for any project where the author wishes for a clean and polished end product.
